The McCallum Theatre is unusually privileged to have a significant number of donors who have provided for the Theatre in their afterlife charitable planning. “Planned gifts” are usually made in consultation with attorneys, tax accountants or other financial advisors.
Among the instruments most frequently used in making a planned gift to the McCallum Theatre are bequests (wills), charitable remainder trusts, and charitable gift annuities. In addition to these gift methods, there are other philanthropic investment instruments that also have important charitable gift applications.
Membership gifts count toward lifetime giving to the McCallum Theatre, thus qualifying for Founders Circle and Benefactors Circle recognition. Your annual membership also counts toward McCallum’s Leadership Circle Program – cumulative donations totally $25,000 or more in a single fiscal year (August 1st – July 31st).
Gifts made through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), private foundation, or other charitable entity may be used only to fund contributions for which no more-than-incidental benefit is provided. If your gift includes tickets, meals, or similar benefits, please contact the Development Office before recommending a DAF grant or directing a distribution from one of these sources.
