An Exhibit of Portraits
Self-portraits by twelve well and lesser known artists born between 1452 and 1989 make up this colorful exhibit of reproductions. These artists all became their own models, leaving the world with “selfies” that invite us to think about how best we realize our self in portraiture, whether it’s snapped with a smartphone or carefully painted on a canvas. Featured artists: Francis Bacon, Mary Cassatt, Jordan Casteel, Gustave Courbet, Leonardo Da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Juan Gris, Gwen John, Frida Kahlo, Paula Modersohn Becker, Becki Sanders, Anna Belle Lee Washington.
