This year’s McCallum Theatre Annual Gala will feature six-time Tony® Award-winner Audra McDonald, performing with a full symphony orchestra. Audra is unparalleled in the breadth and versatility of her artistry as both a singer and an actor. A Juilliard-trained soprano, she has received the National Medal of Arts and was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.
In addition, we are delighted to honor one of our desert community’s most generous philanthropists, McCallum Trustee Becky Benaroya, for her longstanding commitment to the McCallum Theatre and enhancing the quality of life in the Pacific Northwest and the Coachella Valley.
Proceeds from the McCallum Theatre Annual Gala help fund Theatre operations as well as our education programs that bring training in theatre, dance, music and visual arts to many thousands of schoolchildren and educators at no cost to them. These funds also make it possible to continue to bring world-class performances to Coachella Valley residents.
