John Williams has become a household name, recognized around the world as today’s greatest living composer of music for motion pictures. John’s music speaks to the heart and soul of the listener, no matter who they are, or where they are. Whether in a movie theater, concert hall, sports stadium, or listening on a home stereo, his music has become a treasured part of life in America.
To hear this music played live by a great symphony orchestra is, without a doubt, the purest way to experience the music of John Williams. The McCallum Theatre Orchestra is made up of many of Hollywood's finest musicians, several of whom have played on the film scores of John Williams. These world-class artists will bring a unique and exciting musical experience to the audience, playing many of John’s most recognized and best-loved scores from some of the greatest films ever made. Music from Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Schindler’s List, Hook, and Jurassic Park will be just a few of the film scores that will make this concert memorable.
The Orchestra will be led by Grammy Award winning conductor Richard Kaufman, who has a long personal and professional relationship with John Williams.
